One of the biggest crimes in television history, in my humble opinion, is the untimely cancellation of Freaks and Geeks back in 2000 or whenever it was. It was beautifully written and shot, really evoking the era and essence of high school, and it’s left me with a lingering love for all its main stars - many of whom (particularly the male Freaks) have cropped up in Judd Apatow films since then.

Seth Rogen might be Hollywood’s new favourite teddy bear of a funny man but in my eyes, he’s still sarcastic Ken; Jason Segel, who repeated showed off his naked bod in Forgetting Sarah Marshall, is still the often painful-to-watch Nick; and James Franco may have got all that exposure in the Spider-Man films but to me he’s still Daniel Desario, who can stun a girl at 50 paces with a little sly smile.

So anyway, here is Daniel James on David Letterman on Wednesday night - apparently promoting his new film with Rogen, Pineapple Express but really just showcasing his inability to just snap into an accent. And talking about Dave’s balls.
