The Babyshambles frontman’s trousers split while he was on stage with the group - leaving his bum exposed to the Scottish night - then he and five friends had to be pulled out of the lake itself.

According to the Sun, the men tried to row themselves in a small boat to a secluded VIP area but Pete’s manager Adrian Hunter explained: “We lost an oar and sprang a leak.

“It was freezing and we had a laugh, but it would not have been funny if someone died.”

The group were pulled to safety by festival staff.
