The former Frasier star was sought medical treatment on 28th July after feeling faint - just days after confirming that his heart attack in June wasn’t as mild as first suggested.

According to his spokesperson, he checked into hospital after experiencing problems with his new heart medication and was only expected to stay in for observation overnight - but then doctors decided he should stay in until he adjusted to the new medicine regime.

His publicist told the New York Daily News: “With matters of the heart, you make adjustments and then observe and repeat the process.”
