britney spearsQuentin Tarantino is reportedly keen to help Britney Spears with her next comeback attempt by casting her in his new film - a remake of cult classic Faster Pussycat! Kill! Kill!.

With filming on his next film Inglorious Bastards set to start in the late autumn, Quentin is said to be already planning the film after that - and has his heart set on Britney for the lead role of dancer Varla.

An inside source told the Mirror: “He wanted to get Britney [onboard] first. She’s playing the most important character. Quentin is convinced [she] will be brilliant.

“Britney is delighted [about being considered], she thinks it could turn her career and her life around. A successful film could help her get out of her current nightmare.”

The singer’s record company Jive Records insists that the star is currently working on her next album - a follow-up to her 2007 album ‘Blackout’ - but Britney is said to want to concentrate on acting after enjoying filming her How I Met Your Mother cameo earlier in the year.

John Travolta’s casting in Quentin’s Pulp Fiction restored the Saturday Night Fever actor to the Hollywood A-list and Uma Thurman was established as a leading actress by her work in the Kill Bill series.
