lindsay lohanLindsay Lohan’s recent turnaround has been largely attributed to her friendship/relationship with Samantha Ronson but a source has revealed that Lindsay has a $2000-a-day helper to keep her sober too.

Lindsay had two unsuccessful stints in rehab last year but after being arrested for two DUIs over the summer, checked into the Cirque Lodge facility in Utah for a two month stay in the late summer. Aside from the occasional slip-up, the actress is said to have been clean and sober since then - with “sober companion” Lori Cerasoli’s help.

A source told the New York Daily News that Lori travels with Lindsay while she’s working and also stays close while she’s playing, either staying in Lindsay’s guesthouse or Samantha Ronson’s spare room depending whether the actress ends up: “She’s always there for Lindsay. She can talk to her if she ever feels like she needs a drink.

“Sam’s keen to keep Lindsay healthy and happy too but Lori does a lot of the hard work.”

Lori, a recovering alcoholic herself, has previously worked with Drew Barrymore - at the height of the former child star’s drug and alcohol abuse in the early 1990s - and as an ‘eating coach’ for Mary-Kate Olsen following her time in Cirque for help with an eating disorder.

Lindsay’s dad Michael Lohan is quoted as giving “most of the credit” for Lindsay’s ongoing recovery.
