britney spearsBritney Spears has said she’d prefer it if her sons didn’t follow her into the showbusiness.

Britney attended New York’s Professional Performing Arts School from the age of eight and joined The New Mickey Mouse Club at the age of 11, before her solo pop career launched her to super-stardom at the age of 17.

She told OK magazine recently that she’d prefer it if sons Sean and Jayden, who turned 3 and 2 respectively next month, didn’t follow in her footsteps to fame: “I’d love them unconditionally if they wanted to [but] I’d just as soon they have a more normal childhood.”

She added that there is one role she’d like to see the boys do well in though - protective pseudo-siblings to their new cousin Maddie - the daughter of Britney’s little sister Jamie Lynn Spears: “I was shocked [by Jamie Lynn’s pregnancy]. She’s always been the baby, and now the baby was having a baby. It was mind-boggling.

“I’m sure the boys will be like big brothers to Maddie.”
