eva longoria parkerEva Longoria Parker and husband Tony Parker are trying for a baby, according to Desperate Housewives creator Marc Cherry.

After Marcia Cross‘ pregnancy disrupted filming of the show in early 2007, Eva promised Marc that she wouldn’t have a baby until after the series ended but now he’s revealed that the couple, who married in Paris last July, are trying for a child.

He told Us Weekly: “Eva is desperately trying to get pregnant with Tony.

“After they phone their doctor, she promised me I will be the next call.”

Eva was rumoured to be already pregnant earlier this summer after she was seen with a larger belly than normal while sunbathing in a bikini in the South of France. She later explained that her weight gain - and new haircut - were for the next series of the show, which is set five years after the last season and sees Eva’s character Gaby as a struggling mum of two.
