Cheryl Cole on why she loves working with Simon Cowell

While most people love to hate him, Cheryl Cole has said she’s just loved working with Simon Cowell on the new series of The X Factor.

Ahead of the first show in the series at the weekend, Cheryl explained: “Do you know, I have always had a little soft spot for him, if I am totally honest.

“But I do tell him when I think he is wrong because he is not always right.

“Just being around Simon, and his ego, he’s taught me quite a lot.

“The fact that he respects my opinion has given me confidence and made me feel better [too].”

And it seems the feeling is mutual. Speaking at a press conference for the show last week, he said: “She is absolutely brilliant.

“She has natural instincts as to whether people are good or not, and has her own opinions. She is one of the best people I have ever worked with.”

The Girls Aloud star took over from Sharon Osbourne as a judge on the talent show in June.
