Christian Bale: I learnt so much about myself learning to horseride

Christian Bale has said he believes learning to ride horses has helped his acting career.

The Batman star explained recently that learning the skill was a huge confidence boost and that in turn helped him as an actor: “I love horses. I’ve learned from them.

“Once you master a horse - but it also masters you - you gain more confidence in yourself.

“When you can mount it and move it and move along with it, that is a hard-won and very real accomplishment.”
