charlotte churchCharlotte Church has reportedly restarted her long-standing feud with Cheryl Cole by attacking Cheryl’s judging style on The X Factor - and her decision to stay with husband Ashley Cole after he cheated on her.

Charlotte is quoted in the News of the World as saying the Girls Aloud star has “proved she’s got no backbone” after choosing to abstain from commenting on one-time friend Nikk Major’s performance on the opening show of the ITV1 series last week: “X Factor needed someone with wit and grit but she couldn’t even give an honest answer to Nikk, let alone charm her way out of the situation.

“[And] to take Ashley back shows complete lack of self-respect.”

The two women have been engaged in a war of words since Cheryl criticised Charlotte for stealing Girls Aloud’s sound for her pop album ‘Tissues and Issues’ but they have both made it clear they’d like to end the exchange.
