George Clooney: I don’t have the patience to be a dad
George Clooney has said he could never follow in friend Brad Pitt’s footsteps and be a dad to a growing family.
Speaking at the Venice Film Festival yesterday, he explained that he’s just too interested in his own life to give that up: “I couldn’t do what Brad and Angie are doing.
“I wouldn’t have the patience or dedication you need to take care of a family. I admire those qualities in other people but it’s not for me.”
He added: “I’m doing exactly what I want to. I hang out with the same friends, I spend time in Italy, and then I go back to work. I try not to worry about anything else.”

Youtube commenters are right all along. He’s insensitive and smug.

I don’t agree. He is not insensitive nor smug. He is just honest and realistic. His love life has always been a total mess, so I guess he doesn’t want to father a child without a partner he could trust and rely to. Yes it’s quite sad indeed. But I do prefer to see some guys like Clooney to choose not to be a dad than others who are actually dad but don’t care about their children.
