Michelle Williams “glowing again” with Spike Jonze
Michelle Williams‘ relationship with Spike Jonze is reportedly still going well.
The couple were first linked in July then continued to fuel dating rumours when they were spotted together again last month.
A source close to the former Dawson’s Creek star told OK magazine that she’s beginning to “glow” she used to before she split from Heath Ledger last summer: “Michelle is starting to have her old glow back. It’s the Michelle we were used to seeing when she and Heath just had Matilda and they were on cloud nine. Her eyes light up again.
“She’s also finally coming out of the shock of losing Heath.”
A second source told the magazine that Spike seems to be making himself at home at Michelle’s home in Brooklyn and was spotted at a nearby convenience store buying a toothbrush and toothpaste, eggs and pancake mix: “Spike said he was visiting his girlfriend and just needed to get a few odds and ends.
“They were going to try and make breakfast for her daughter [Matilda].”

What shock? She ‘lost’ Heath when he dumped her early in 2007, though they only made it official in late August 2007 once he had fallen for fellow Aussie model and New York resident, Gemma Ward. Everyone in Australia knows this, it was all over the papers during Heath’s last Christmas there, how they were spotted all over Perth and how his family were saying Gemma was Heath’s new girlfriend.

Terry — you’re an idiot! What is wrong with you?
Of course she had already “lost” Heath when they broke up, but that’s not the same at all as the loss Ms. Williams must have felt when Heath died. He was the father of her daughter.

Well how nice it must be for her that she can “move on” with her life while Heath cannot. She dumped him and used his daughter for leverage. He said in an interview that his greatest fear was “losing them” and he did. You don’t leave your “soulmate” if they have problems, you try and help them. He died of a broken heart. Period. He wouldn’t have needed all the meds if he had been well emotionally. I hope his death haunts Michelle every day for the rest of her pathetic life. He was too good for her.

Cassie - Heath couldn’t sleep because he was excited about the film he was going to direct and his mind was racing with new ideas. The reason he took painkillers was because he had severe back pain and then he also was suffering from flu according to those who worked on him on his last film, The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus. To suggest that he died because of his split with Michelel is ludricous. The contrary, he was very happy to have gotten rid of her as they were awful along and had been for many many months. You won’t hear anyone from his last two films saying how he missed Michelle……only that he missed Matilda but also that HE WAS VERY HAPPY.

Joan- I understand your point of view. However, all the reports have indicated that Heath was NOT happy about the breakup. Verne Troyer stated in an interview that Heath confided to him about his personal problems and that “anyone would be depressed if they were going through that”. And I’m not buying the back pain story because he was well enough to skateboard around NYC and dance at the Beatrice Inn. All the celebrities have those painkillers in their pockets, anyone could have given him one. We know he had a problem with drink and drugs and that he was trying to clean up. I think he just traded those for the pills instead, because he had an addictive personality and needed that high feeling. I’m mad at Michelle because she knew he had problems and took from him the only thing that gave him any sense of stability -his beloved Matilda. If you notice, she had been referring to him as her husband, but he was quoted as saying he didn’t need a piece of paper to prove their love. So, it’s obvious he didn’t want to commit to her. And you’re right he was excited about his plans to direct, but he had problems sleeping as far back as filming I’m Not There. If you listen to the director commentary, Todd Haynes says that Heath couldn’t sleep the night before his scenes because he was nervous about being in front of the camera again. So, I think everyone can agree that he had substance abuse problems, wouldn’t commit, couldn’t sleep and missed his daughter. I blame Michelle for not helping him if she truly loved him, and for using his daughter for leverage. She will never have another man as gorgeous as him, she was lucky. His death was so senseless, where were the people who loved him? And I know people will say it’s his own fault. And they’re right too, he is the one who took the pills. But couldn’t someone have helped him? The world lost a beautiful man and talented actor.

Joan and Cassie, you should know how Micheele tried to help Heath, but he was just too stubborn and was already too hooked on drugs hecouldn’t even help himself. Michelle was just right in deciding to leave him and focus her attention to their daughter instead. Who knows? She just did it to make Heath realize his loss if they’re away from him, hoping he’ll realize the loss and change…you can’t just put all the blame on Michelle, she’s still too young and have a good life ahead of her. I admire her for her strength in bringing up little Matilda.
