madonnaMadonna’s world tour crew are reportedly threatening to quit after being booked onto budget flights and hotels, while the star travels in luxury.

According to the Mirror, many of the 250 staff were flown on EasyJet to Nice for last week’s gig then booked into a £50 a night Campanile hotel at the airport while Madonna flew first class and stayed at an 11th century castle, Chateau Saint Jeannet, at a cost of £11,000 a night.

An inside source told the newspaper: “Everyone is absolutely furious with her and some of them want to walk out of the tour.

“They feel they are being treated like second-class citizens, despite all their hard work over the last few months.”

The source added that the crew have also been subject to Madonna’s demands and mood swings during rehearsals: “Trouble has been brewing for a few months in the Madonna camp, especially since all the claims that her marriage was in crisis.

“Now to make matters worse, they are being forced to stay in horrible places and fly on cheap low-cost flights, while she has the lap of luxury. Several are already talking about walking if things don’t improve.”

This week, the Sticky & Sweet Tour is scheduled to reach Amsterdam, Dusseldorf and Rome. After further dates in the UK and mainland Europe, the cavalcade heads to North America next month.
