Kate Middleton working not waiting for engagement, say friends
Kate Middleton is reportedly an office job at her parents’ party accessory business, not just waiting around for Prince William to propose.
Senior Royals were said to be annoyed that Kate hadn’t settled into a full time career after leaving her four day a week job as an assistant buyer at Jigsaw. She was said to have been considering work in photography or as an art gallery curator - but her friends have now said that she’s keeping busy while deciding what to do.
A friend told Hello magazine: “There is a complete misrepresentation about headlines such as ‘Waity Katy’.
“She is working very hard for her parents at their company, Party Pieces, and has been doing so for the past few months on a daily basis.
“The company is a big one and the catalogues are produced regularly. Kate’s responsibility is helping to put them together.
“She is a young woman who wants to keep active and that is why she is annoyed at the headlines saying she doesn’t work.
“She is actually working full-time, is on the payroll and plans to continue doing the job.”
Kate and William began dating in 2005 after meeting at St Andrews University and were rumoured to be getting engaged in 2006 after Kate was issued with a Royal bodyguard. However the engagement wasn’t forthcoming and they split up temporarily in April 2007. They are expected to announce their engagement after William completes his military and civil work experience training next year.
