cheryl coleCheryl Cole has reportedly asked for a last minute change to a new Girls Aloud book after Charlotte Church said she had no backbone last month.

‘Girls Aloud: Dreams That Glitter’ has been written by the five bandmates and covers their rise from their Popstars: The Rivals auditions to the present day and is due to be published in October.

The book gives the women the chance to reflect on their celebrity - and Cheryl used one of her chapters to say she regretted the feud she’d had with Charlotte since 2005.

Over the last year, both women had made an effort to put their differences behind them - until Charlotte’s recent comments about Cheryl’s appointment as a judge on The X Factor and her decision to stay with unfaithful husband Ashley Cole.

A source told the Sun: “Cheryl decided she’s had it with the feud. She wrote a sincere passage in the book about how much she regretted it and how much she enjoys Charlotte’s show.

“She thought it time to grow up and draw a line under it. But there’s only so far you can push her. Charlotte made some entirely unprovoked attacks and that changed Cheryl’s mind on the matter.

“After hearing them she was straight on to the publishers to tell them to remove the passage. They weren’t best pleased to be tinkering with it at this late stage but said they would do their best.”
