Lindsay LohanLindsay Lohan has said that people shouldn’t say Samantha Ronson is the one that turned her life around - because she had a considerable role in the process herself.

After Lindsay’s three stints in rehab and two DUIs last year, best friend/girlfriend Sam is said to have helped Lindsay stay sober and leave her partying ways behind her - but Lindsay has now said that it wasn’t all Sam: “She’s a great person. And she’s a great influence on people around her.

“But I think that anything that’s changed in my life is because of me.

“I’ve gone through it and I’ve had to deal with it and I’ve made the decision to move forward. [But] yeah, she’s a great person.”

The two women both the Fashion Rocks event in New York and the MTV VMAs in Los Angeles together this weekend. They were first linked romantically last year but have repeatedly denied or avoided questions about the exact nature of their relationship.
