amy winehouseAmy Winehouse is reportedly just days away from exchanging contracts on a £750,000 farmhouse in Suffolk.

The singer is said to have bought the 150 year old, seven bedroom home in an effort to escape her turbulent life in London and a source close to the family told the Sun: “Amy has been looking for something in the area - and this particular place really is the ideal location.

“It is a really quiet, hidden spot where she would be away from the chaos of her life in London and could concentrate properly on getting her life back on track again.”

The property also includes three acres of land, stables and a detached barn which could be converted into a recording studio.

Amy’s dad Mitch Winehouse added that he is supportive of her move out of the city: “I hope she will be very happy there.

“When [her husband] Blake comes out of prison the two of them are going to need somewhere to live together.”

Blake is expected to remain in nearby HMP Edmunds Hill until December after pleading guilty to assault and perverting the course of justice charges in June.
