The Spider-Man actress sparked rumours when the pair were spotted together in New York over the summer but she now insists that she has only met him that one time: “[The rumours] are the funniest thing on planet Earth. I don’t know him from Adam.

“I met him once and he and his friend were kind enough to walk me home. I’ve never seen him since.”

In a recent interview with Cosmpolitan, Kirsten revealed she knows exactly what she is looking for in her Mr Right: “Just somebody I can laugh and feel comfortable with. I love dorks, and I want a sweet man. I don’t want someone who’s a jerk. But, looks-wise, who cares? As long as there’s an attraction.

“[But] I’d stay away from someone who wanted to be part of the whole ‘fame’ thing. You just have to live your life. I think I live a normal life…”
