rod stewartPenny Lancaster has revealed that husband Rod Stewart is planning to put daughter Kimberly Stewart’s new boyfriend Rhys Ifans through a series of tests to see if he’s worthy to date her.

Kimberly and Rhys have been linked since July, shortly after his nearly year long relationship with Sienna Miller came to an end and Kimberly’s fling with Jude Law became a ‘flung’.

Penny explained recently that Rod wants to see if he can get along with the Notting Hill star before he gives his final approval on the new couple: “Rod really like Rhys and wants to get to know him and what makes him tick.

“So he’ll see if he can play football, what he knows about cars - the music is a thing they already share.”

Rod is said to have approved of Kimberly dating Jude and was annoyed when the fling fizzled out after a couple of public snogging sessions.
