The couple, who began dating a year ago, are expected to marry later in the year but have already shown their commitment to each other by getting simple anchor designs inked on their wrists.

The tattoos were on show during a night out at Punk in Soho last night and Kate also unveiled a new haircut - a bobbed version of her previous long blonde look.

A source explained: “The meaning of the tattoos is obvious. After a turbulent few years with Pete Doherty, Kate has realised it’s possible to have a normal, healthy relationship with a musician and Jamie is loving having a home with Kate and her daughter [Lila].”

On Wednesday, the couple returned for their latest holiday in Ibiza together - reportedly fleeing their St John’s Wood home after a flea infestation caused by Kate’s two cats.
