Jade Goody’s hysterectomy went “well”, says spokesperson
Her spokesperson Max Clifford confirmed that the operation took around eight hours - a sign that Jade’s cervical cancer had not spread away from the womb as first feared.
He explained: “She was in surgery for about eight hours, they did a radical hysterectomy and she is now in intensive care.
“I spoke to the surgeon and he said everything went according to plan.”
The Big Brother star is expected to spend around 10 days recovering from the operation at the Royal Marsden Hospital in Londo then nwill now have to undergo a nine-week course of chemotherapy and radiotherapy. She was diagnosed with the disease last month and told the news while appearing on India’s version of the reality show, Bigg Boss.
