britney spears and jayden federlineBritney Spears threw a joint party for her young sons’ birthdays yesterday.

As younger son Jayden turned 2 on Friday and older son Preston turns three today, the MTV VMAs winner held a join car and truck-themed event at friend Adrienne Maloof-Nassif’s home in Beverly Park. Guests included her sister Jamie Lynn Spears with three month old daughter Maddie, parents Jamie Spears and Lynne Spears, Jenny McCarthy with son Evan and Gwen Stefani & Gavin Rossdale’s son Kingston.

A source told People magazine that the boys drove around the party in customised mini-motorised cars and eat a yellow truck shaped birthday cake: “The boys received tons of birthday gifts. Britney and her family really made the party special for the boys.”

In related news, Britney’s mum Lynne has revealed that grandson Preston has been effected by the turbulent two years since Britney split from ex-husband Kevin Federline.

In her new biography, Lynne explains: “Preston is the more sensitive of the two. He is a tender-hearted little boy who seems more affected by the chaos and the uncertainty in his life.

“He seems to get sick a bit more than Jayden, who has a horse’s constitution.”

She added that because of their parents’ fame: “They can’t really be like other boys and move freely in their world. Sometimes they can’t leave the house at all.”

But she has nothing but praise for Kevin’s parenting skills: “There’s not a mean bone in his body and he really is a good daddy.”
