Jennifer HudsonJennifer Hudson has got engaged to boyfriend David Otunga after less than a year of dating.

David, who appeared in reality TV show I Love New York 2, popped the question on Dreamgirls Jennifer’s 27th birthday on Friday, presenting her with a Neil Lane diamond engagement ring.

Her spokesperson told People magazine: “I can confirm that Jennifer got engaged to her boyfriend David on Friday night in LA.”

Former American Idol contestant Jennifer won the 2007 Best Supporting Actress Oscar for her role in musical Dreamgirls. Her debut solo album is set to be released at the end of the month and her new film The Secret Life of Bees is out in the US next month.
