lindsay lohanAfter verbally hitting out at vice president hopeful Sarah Palin earlier in the day, Lindsay Lohan reportedly punched a photographer in the face on a night out in New York last night.

According to TMZ, the actress lashed out when she thought a paparazzo had tripped her on her way into the Bowery Hotel - but in fact she’d tripped on a metal barricade.

The website reports that Lindsay was on the phone at the time and told whoever she was talking to: “Oh my God, I just hit a paparazzi.”

Police were called to the scene but no charges were made.

In March last year, Lindsay hit another New York photographer with her car after a night of clubbing in the city. The photographers was treated for minor injuries.
