cheryl coleCheryl Cole has revealed she’s recently started wearing a wedding ring again, eight months after husband Ashley Cole’s infidelity came to light in a kiss-and-tell article.

The Girls Aloud star initially stood by Ashley when the story broke but after finding out that he’d lied about it to her, she fled their marital home to consider her options. After a month away from the Chelsea star, she returned to him to give their marriage another try but hadn’t been spotted wearing her £150,000 wedding ring - or similar £100,000 engagement ring - since the episode. Ashley is also said to have bought her a new £160,000 diamond ring as a symbol of their reunion but that had also stayed in her jewellery box until now.

Wearing the new ring for the first time in public for the filming of this week’s Friday Night With Jonathan Ross, Cheryl explained that they are moving on but there were times when she “was tempted to put [the ring] back on - in his head!”

She added: “There’s no such thing as a private life in this industry.

“I spoke openly about my marriage in the past and it’s come back to hit me in the face. I learnt from the past that you shouldn’t do that.

“There’s something about celebrities having a perfect life… people need to relax and realise we’re human too.”

Last night, Cheryl joined a procession of stars on the catwalk at the Natural History Museum in London to raise money for the White Ribbon Alliance, which helps pregnant women and newborn babies around the world. Cheryl wore a pink Jean Paul Gaultier gown and a mini dress by Balmain at the event organised by Naomi Campbell.

Other celebrities taking a spin on the catwalk included Naomi herself, Erin O’Connor, Elizabeth Jagger, Daisy Lowe and Olympic gold medallist Rebecca Adlington.
