The couple are said to have ended their 14-month romance earlier this month, with sources close to the former Take That star claiming it was because he was concentrating too much on his new album.

However, a new source has told the Sun, it’s his research into UFOs and alien life forms that actually sucked up all his time: “He has become more obsessed than ever recently with aliens. Some nights he would stay up till daylight and not go back to bed.

“I think the break could be permanent - they’ve been having ups and downs for a while.

“Robbie is such a generous guy. He gave Ayda everything but he never seemed to take her out for dinner much like most normal guys dating a sexy girl like Ayda would.”
