kate hudsonKate Hudson has revealed her son Ryder is not into the same simple nursery rhyme music as most of his four year old peers.

She told Parade magazine recently: “He’s really into rap music and hard rock.

“It’s so funny because while I like rap it’s not really what Chris [Robinson, Kate’s ex-husband] and I would listen to around the house.

“But our kid just loves it. It makes him feel cool. I see his little face and all of a sudden he thinks he’s cool.”

She added that despite their musical differences, her cool kid keeps her centred: “I’m fortunate that between movies I can just dedicate all of my time to my son.

“That makes it easier to take the days that I’m working 18 hours and feeling guilty about not being able to be home and be a mother.

“All in all, I think it’s a pretty good balance.”
