Jade Goody bans sons from visiting her in hospital

Jade Goody has reportedly refused to let her sons visit her in hospital as she recovers from a hysterectomy as she doesn’t want them to see her in pain.

Five year old Bobby and four year old Freddie are currently being cared for by a combination of Jade’s mum Jackiey Budden and their dad, Jade’s ex-boyfriend Jeff Brazier, while the former Big Brother star recovers from the operation carried out in an effort to beat her cervical cancer. She is also facing nine weeks of chemotherapy and radiotherapy.

Jeff told the News of the World this week that Jade had told the boys she had a “bad stomach” before checking into the hospital earlier this month: “The boys haven’t gone to visit Jade yet. It’s her opinion - and I agree - that it wouldn’t be good for them to see her in pain.

“They are oblivious about the cancer, other than knowing she’s in hospital and the doctors are fixing her. I told them, ‘Mummy’s operation went well’. They were very happy. Freddie yelled, ‘Yes!’

“Jade’s spoken to them several times and was able to wish Freddie a happy birthday [last week] and tell them she loves them.”

He added: “I am terrified my boys could lose their mum. But if Daddy doesn’t look worried then they have no need to be, so I’m making a real effort.

“Her state of mind is that she has to just soldier through. She’s getting on with trying to feel better. She’s taking it one step at a time and not worrying about the ‘what ifs’.”

Jade is expected to leave the Royal Marsden Hospital this week but will return each weekday for the ongoing treatment. She was diagnosed with cancer last month.
