Pink: I found it too hard to be someone’s wife

Pink has revealed she found it hard to be a wife to husband Carey Hart, because there are so many ideas about the role.

The couple married at the start of 2006 but separated in February this year just after their second anniversary.

Pink told the News of the World: “We all get into playing roles when we’re in a relationship: ‘I’m the wife, you’re the husband.’ Well, those roles didn’t work out for us.

“It doesn’t mean we don’t love each other. We love each other very much, and even though the marriage roles didn’t work, we’re still trying to figure out which roles do.”

She added that their busy careers also didn’t help: “It’s such a cliché when you talk about a Hollywood divorce, but the scheduling did get very hard. And it seemed that I was always the one left in charge of it. I got tired of being Schedule Woman.

“Life got a little strange for a while. I was a gymnast for eight years, and I learned that when you’re twisting through the air, you have to have a spot to look at to keep your focus. Well, that’s how the whole of my life got. I lost my focus, and when that happens, you just have to stop and replant your feet on the ground.”
