Britney Spears in a black wigBritney Spears is reportedly looking to rebuild her relationship with ex-husband Kevin Federline - and perhaps even reconcile with the former dancer.

The couple met on Britney’s Onyx Hotel Tour tour in 2004 and married in September that year. They welcomed their two sons Sean and Jayden into the world in September 2005 and 2006 respectively before separating in November 2006. They initially shared custody of the boys but Britney’s custody was revoked last year and now Kevin has full physical custody, with Britney having thrice weekly visitation sessions with the children.

A source close to the family has told the National Enquirer recently that the pair are participating in couples counselling in an effort to work more effectively together as parents - but Britney, who was spotted wearing a black wig on a night out this week, has other hopes from the sessions too: “Part of their therapy involves going on formal dates and Britney is so excited.

“She’s never stopped loving Kevin or hoping they’d get back together.

“Britney’s dad first talked to Kevin about reconciling with her last spring. He was really noncommital at the time because he and Britney were still at odds over custody. But Kevin’s always believed it would be best for the boys to be raised by both parents.

“Kevin still loves Britney too and if all goes well after six months of counselling they’ll move [into Britney’s new house] together with the boys.”
