Melanie Chisholm: I didn’t earn that much from the Spice Girls reunion

Melanie Chisholm has revealed the Spice Girls reunion tour wasn’t quit the moneyspinner that it was made out to be.

The five women were rumoured to have made around £10million each from the three month tour but Mel, who is currently pregnant with her first child, explained recently: “I can’t deny it was a decent earner. But it wasn’t what they said in the papers. By a long stretch.”

She added: “I actually didn’t want to do it.

“And when I received the phone call, it was the phone call that I had most dreaded in the last however many years since we were last together, seven years.

“But then thinking about it, and spending time with the girls and - now I’ve done it - it was amazing and I’m really glad I did.”
