jade goodyJade Goody and Wendy Richard are reportedly using each other for support during their cancer battles.

Last weekend, former Eastenders star Wendy revealed that her breast cancer had returned for a third time while Big Brother star Jade underwent a hysterectomy last month in a bid to beat her cervical cancer which was diagnosed over the summer.

The two women are said to have met at the Royal Marsden hospital in London earlier this week as Jade underwent her first chemotherapy session, with Wendy expected to start on the treatment next week.

A source close to Jade explained: “They got on really well and spent hours chatting. They are helping each other as much as they can.

“It was Jade’s first session and it was absolute agony.

“But she thought Wendy was lovely - and talking to someone going through the same ordeal seemed to help them.”

Jade visited the hospital again yesterday and later went to visit on-off boyfriend Jack Tweed in prison in Norwich. Today Wendy is thought to be marrying long-term partner John Burn in a civil ceremony.
