Angelina Jolie breastfeeding on the cover of W magazineAngelina Jolie has revealed she only felt ready to get pregnant when partner Brad Pitt showed the extent of his love for their adopted children.

The mother of six allowed Brad to take a series of intimate photos of her, including shots of her breastfeeding new twins Knox and Vivienne, for the new issue of W magazine and in the accompanying interview, she explained: “I’m with a man who’s evolved enough to look at my body and see it as more beautiful [during and after pregnancy], because of the journey it has taken and what it has created.

“He genuinely sees it that way. So I genuinely feel even sexier.

“I think one of the life changing things that he did, one of many, is that I was absolutely never going to get pregnant. I never felt that it was the right thing to do.

“It taught me a lot about life, just the process of it, and now we have three other beautiful children that wouldn’t otherwise be here.

“When we first met, [Brad] talked about having children in that way. I talked about only adopting children.

“[Then after adopting Maddox and Zahara] he stopped talking about having other kids in the other way, so I suppose in my heart I realised that he was happy with them as his children, completely. I knew he would never see them as different, and that gave me a certain peace.

“Then I suppose I just looked at him and loved him and just felt open to [getting pregnant]. I suddenly wanted to.”

The couple now have six children in total, with older children Maddox, Pax and Zahara being adopted and as the biological parents of younger children Shiloh, Knox and Vivienne.
