Filming High School Musical 3 was bitter-sweet, says Ashley Tisdale
Filming High School Musical 3: Senior Year was a “bitter-sweet experience”, according to Ashley Tisdale.
Ashley, who plays the character of Sharpay, told the Daily Mail that the third installment of the film series was the hardest to film: “It was a bitter-sweet experience filming.
“It was very emotional even though we were having such a great time, because we knew it was our last film.
“We all wanted to stay there for ever. I felt like what was really happening in the movie was happening in real life - we are all moving on.
“When I heard the demo for the HSM graduation song, I started to cry. It totally melted me and I thought this song would be so hard to record, let alone film.
“For three years we’ve being doing HSM continually - now who knows what’s going to happen?
“On the last day of filming, every single person was in tears - even the hair and make-up crew. They couldn’t touch up our make-up because they were crying so much.
“In the first movie, our parents were with us for filming. In the second, [it felt like] we were going to college, cooking for each other and teaching each other how to do the laundry. Now, in this last one, it feels like we’ve graduated and become young adults.”
