Michelle Ryan: men were scared off by my Bionic Woman body

Michelle Ryan revealed her role in the remake of The Bionic Woman caused problems for her love life.

The former Eastenders star moved to Los Angeles to make the TV series last year but it was cancelled after the first series due to poor ratings.

Now back in the UK and starring in the new BBC series Merlin, she explained: “I knew playing a woman with bionic strength was going to ruin my chances because men were going to be scared.

“I had this amazing new body and was super-fit but I couldn’t get a man.”
