A source close to the singer told the Sun that Robbie picked the seven bedroom house in the exclusive Beverly Park Estate because he thought the gated community would offer him more privacy - and it would be the chance for a new start with on-off girlfriend Ayda Field.

The source explained: “Robbie has been looking for a new house for a while.

“He knew the area he liked and decided it was time to start afresh with Ayda.

“They had a spell where he was reluctant to settle down but he wants to show her he is serious by moving into a new place together properly.”

The Mediterranean-style property has nearly two acres of land and stunning views across the city. As well as the main house, there is also a guest house, staff quarters and a pool & spa.

The former Take That star’s neighbours will include Rod Stewart, Denzel Washington and Eddie Murphy.
