Janet Jackson urged to cancel rest of tour now to stop losing money
Janet Jackson is reportedly being urged to cancel all her remaining Rock Witchu tour dates to avoid huge financial losses.
The singer cancelled ten of the shows “all at the the last minute” after being taken “suddenly ill” during a soundcheck in Montreal on 29th September. She was briefly hospitalised but released a few hours later, and no details of her illness have been confirmed.
An inside source told the New York Post: “Janet should cancel all her dates now, so that fans and those working on the tour can have a heads-up.
“[Tour promoters Live Nation] has lost money because she keeps canceling after buses have been booked and preproduction is complete.”
“Nobody truly knows what’s wrong with her. People are saying the show is too much strain on her 42-year-old body.”
The tour began in Vancover at the start of September and is currently expected to finish in New York on 1st November.
UPDATE: A spokesperson for Janet has revealed the cause of the mystery illness: migraines.
Her spokesperson said today: “[Janet is] a world-class entertainer and needs to be at the top of her game to give her fans the show they expect.
“She’s feeling much better and is ready to hit the road again.”
