Angelina Jolie: my children symbolise one of the best things about America
Angelina Jolie has said that her children are all American - even though they all been born in other places.
Older sons Maddox & Pax hail from Asia, older daughters Zahara & Shiloh were born in Africa and newborn twins Knox & Vivienne were born in France - but Angelina explained recently: “My kids were born in different countries, in Asia, Africa, and Europe, and I expect them to learn about those places and to appreciate all other parts of the world, not just their own.
“[They] all have American passports and are American too. I think that one of the best things about America is that we are a melting pot, a mix of many, many different races and nations.
“Yes, they have their own nationalities and are very proud of them, but that certainly doesn’t diminish the fact that they’re American. To me, that is what being American is.”
Speaking to Hello magazine recently, she added that she chose to give birth to her latest offspring in France in honour of her late month Marcheline Bertrand: “They’re the first babies I’ve had without her. She was an amazing mom and she shouldn’t have passed away so young.
“She was partly French-Canadian, and she always loved France, so when I was deciding where to have the children, it was just a very comforting idea to do it in France, because I knew she would have loved it.
That’s a reason why we’re all learning French, too, because she always wanted my children to speak the language. It’s a beautiful language and a beautiful culture, and being in that part of the world always reminds me of her.”

Mixed races, religions, values, etc. are no justification for mixing truth with fiction.

It is great that she wants their children to know about their origins and also be American at the same time. In that way they learn much more about the world than children of their age. Still it would be good if the family would settle down in one place for more than just a few months. In that way the kids would feel rooted to one place. Maybe when they´re older they want to stay put in one place and have a more normal life. But for now this life style seems to suit them.
