Angelina Jolie: the kids love travelling but we’ll settle down one day

Angelina Jolie has said she suspects her family will settle down in one country as her children grow up but for the time being, they love travelling around.

The family are currently based in Berlin while dad Brad Pitt films Inglorious Bastards with Quentin Tarantino but last week flew back to New York for the premiere of Angelina’s new film Changeling and spent the summer at their home in the South of France. Last year saw the family living in New Orleans, Prague and Los Angeles.

Speaking on the Today show, Angelina explained: “I think the children will probably dictate where [we settle].

“We talk that one day they’ll probably want to stay in one place for a very long time or as they start to get certain friends… but so far we’ve just moved them a lot and they like moving.

“They like packing their bags before the next adventure and they like making new friends wherever they go and we’d like to maintain that.

“We’d like for them to be those kind of adults where they can find home wherever they are in the world and they can find friends wherever they are in the world. There’s something to that. It’s important to teach them that as they grow.”
