Madonna throws party to celebrate divorce announcement

Madonna reportedly threw a post-gig party to celebrate the announcement of her divorce on Wednesday night.

After the couple’s separation was confirmed that day, the singer had made a few comments aimed at soon-to-be ex-husband Guy Ritchie on stage during her show in Boston then, according to the Sun, threw a party for a “select gathering” at the Ritz Carlton hotel that evening.

A hotel source told the newspaper: “Madonna had booked an entire floor for her and her entourage and ordered food and drinks.

“Staff were joking that she was toasting her divorce. She seemed on a high after her concert.”

But the event came to an abrupt end when the hotel’s fire alarm system was accidentally activated: “The hotel management were panicking that the entire place would be evacuated and Madonna would have to stand on the sidewalk in her robe. But luckily that didn’t happen. There was no fire.”
