Ashley Tisdale: it’s great having Vanessa Hudgens as a friend

Ashley Tisdale has said she loves having High School Musical co-star Vanessa Hudgens as a friend, because they can go through all the craziness of fame together.

Ashley told the Daily Mail recently: “With fame and success you do lose friends because of jealousy and competitiveness. It’s different with Vanessa and me.

“Nobody else can understand what we’ve been through in the past couple of years. I can go to Vanessa for absolutely anything and I can always trust her.

“We both grew up in musical theatre, both have recorded our own solo albums and both love performing - yet there’s no competition between us.”

She added there certainly isn’t any jealousy between them over Vanessa’s boyfriend Zac Efron, who Ashley sees as a little brother: “Vanessa and Zac are a great couple. We’re all like brothers and sisters on the set so there’s no jealousy about their romance.

“It’s very sweet to see them so romantic and none of us minds seeing them like this together. They are as much in love off screen as they are in HSM. There’s such a great chemistry that it is like a fairytale.”
