DJ AMDJ AM has revealed his fatal plane crash with Travis Barker last month might have actually saved his life.

Travis and AM, real name Adam Goldstein, were the only survivors when their private Learjet crashed in South Carolina last month and had to jump through a wall of fire to get out of the plane.

He told People magazine: “I’m the luckiest man alive. I can’t believe I made it. I’m just grateful.

“In the burn center [Joseph M Still Burn Center in August, Georgia], they did a scan and found that I had a blood clot that in this flight could have traveled to my heart and I could have died.”

He explained that doctors thought the clot may have resulted from his frequent flying around the country as he’s collected almost 2 million airmiles doing his DJing career. Medical staff have now inserted a filter into his vein to prevent further complications.

He added: “I have a great deal of faith that everything happens for a reason. I put myself in God’s hands.”
