The Casino star told More magazine recently that she was going through her clothes at the start of the year when: “Coincidentally, I got a letter from Hilary Swank and Mariska Hargitay about a charity for abused women, and here was a gigantic, refrigerator-size bag, and could I fill it with clothing.

“So I called them and said, ‘Can you send me 20 of these?’”

She also gave the charity a room full of unwanted furniture from her Los Angeles home and described the clearout as “exciting and freeing”.
