peaches geldofPeaches Geldof has admitted that she doesn’t expect to be married to husband Max Drummey forever.

The couple married in Las Vegas at the start of August after a whirlwind romance, which started with them chatting online.

She told Heat magazine recently: “I was going through a difficult time with my other relationship. Max said, ‘Why don’t you come and hang with me in America?’.

“I felt trapped at home and it sounded good so I went. He’s amazing. He has this magnetism. I fell under his spell.

“We were travelling across America, visiting towns [with Max’s band Chester French]. It was fun and I felt so free.

“He said to me, ‘I don’t want you to go back to London. I don’t want to lose this bond with you. Why don’t we go to Las Vegas and get married?’

“I was like, ‘Hell yeah! I’m 19 years old, this is amazing and a bit nuts, but I’ve fallen in love with him, so why not?’”

The couple exchanged their vows at the Little White Chapel but Peaches admits the “forever and ever” bit might not work out: “You can’t ignore divorce rates. Every friend of mine has parents who are divorced.

“I didn’t go into it with Max thinking, ‘This is going to last forever’. But I did go into it thinking, ‘I love him right now and I know that I will continue to love him for a long while’.”

After a few weeks apart immediately following their nuptials - while Peaches returned to Europe to explain the marriage to her dad Bob Geldof, the couple are now both based out of Brooklyn, New York: “Max is on tour a lot so when he comes back we go for dinner or I’ll cook.

“We’re on the phone constantly if I’m not there but most of the time I’ll be with him. I’ll be in the van with his band. I love it.”
