guy ritchie and madonnaGuy Ritchie is reportedly planning a huge Christmas celebration with his children this year after the family’s festivities were largely embargoed by Kabbalah follower Madonna during their marriage.

Over the last few years, the now separated couple are said to have limited Christmas presents with Guy explaining last year that they’re “actually enjoying it” as a holiday but a source told the Daily Mirror that their yuletide celebrations have been “dour and joyless to say the least”.

The source explained: “Christmas doesn’t exist in the Madonna household because of Kabbalah.

“Guy is really looking forward to introducing the kids to Christmas for the first time. He always liked Christmas but went along with it as it was what Madonna wanted and he did want to stay true to Kabbalah.

“But as time has gone on, he thinks the kids are missing out and he’s determined that things change.

“Guy has taken a lot from Kabbalah and any talk of him being against it now is rubbish. But he’s also very much a British traditionalist and he would love to pass on some of the flavour of a traditional Christmas to his kids.”

But a source told the Life & Style magazine in the US that the singer has her own plans for between now and the end of the year - namely pursuing her much rumoured relationship with Alex Rodriguez.

A source told the magazine the couple are looking to have a break in Miami together over the next few weeks: “Madonna’s team has be gun scouting homes for rent. She and Alex are definitely aiming to get together before Christmas.”

Alex, known as A-Rod, is also said to be looking to buy a penthouse apartment in New York just two blocks from Madonna’s home in the city.

The pair have repeatedly denied rumours of a fling since the stories began to circulate in July.

Madonna and Guy announced their separation last week after nearly eight years of marriage.
