Mary-Kate Olsen & Ashley Olsen: it’s great living apart

Mary-Kate Olsen and Ashley Olsen have said they’re pleased with their decision to live apart.

Speaking on the Oprah Winfrey Show set to air today, Ashley said they “absolutely” like living apart.

Mary-Kate explained: “We’re sisters…we’re twins, we work together, and I think to live separately just gives you your space…to go home.

“I mean, she lives a few blocks away, but it’s just - it’s nice … to go home [and be alone].”

The pair added that despite their early career being built on their similarities, as they grow older their differences are becoming more marked - for example, Mary-Kate explained: “I don’t feel the need to get married but Ashley wants children. I’ll be a great aunt or godmother.”
