Jack White drops out of MTV Europe Awards due to slipped disc

Jack White has reportedly had to pull out of his planned performance at the MTV Europe Music Awards next month after hurting his neck.

Jack was scheduled to team up with Alicia Keys to perform the first live airing of their theme for the new James Bond film, Quantum of Solace but his doctors have advised him not to travel or play after he slipped a disc.

A source told the Sun: “Jack’s still in a lot of pain. He hoped it would have cleared by now but the injury is refusing to heal.

“MTV are disappointed, as are Bond film chiefs. No one knows when he’ll be fit enough to travel again.”

Jack is thought to have incurred the injury while touring with his band The Raconteurs last month.

The MTV Europe Awards will take place in Liverpool on 6th November.
