madonna and guy ritchieMadonna and Guy Ritchie’s divorce arrangements reportedly could be finalised as early as next week because daughter Lourdes is acting as the family’s peacemaker.

An inside source told the News of the World that Lourdes, who turned 12 this week, begged the couple “please don’t be mean to each other” after they announced their plans to divorce earlier this month.

The source explained: “Lourdes is heartbroken [about the split]. Although Guy isn’t her biological dad she loves him to pieces - she’s known him for most of her life, after all.”

The source added that the couple are more or less agreed on the financial aspects of the split but are still in discussions over what happens to the children. Lourdes, known as Lola, is also said to be concerned about mum Madonna’s plans to permanently relocate them to New York: “[Her younger brothers] Rocco and David are too young to fully understand what’s going on, but Madonna told them they will live with Mummy in New York but will see Daddy often.

“Lourdes is more worldly wise though, and she got very upset. She knows how it might go because of the sometimes strained relationship her mum has had with her birth father [Carlos Leon].

“[She] loves living in London .. [and] wants to visit Guy as often as possible.”
