Tina O'BrienCoronation Street’s Tina O’Brien and boyfriend Ryan Thomas have welcomed their baby daughter into the world.

The as-yet unnamed baby made her grand debut in a Manchester hospital around 8am yesterday morning and weighed in at 7lbs 1oz.

A source told the Sun that Tina got impatient during the last few days waiting to go into labour and even tried jumping on a trampoline to encourage things along: “She was desperate to hold her little girl and tried out all the tips to induce the birth.

“They are so pleased and relieved [the baby is now here]. Both mother and baby are doing very well.

“They haven’t told anyone the name yet and are keeping ideas close to their chests.”

The couple met on the set of the soap and have been dating for around five years. They have admitted that the pregnancy, which came shortly after Tina left the soap in December last year, wasn’t planned and came as a “massive shock”.

Ryan told OK magazine earlier this year: “When we first found out, we did think, are we ready?

“But all I know is I want to be with Tina for the rest of my life and Tina hopefully wants to be with me for the rest of her life and we definitely want to have a baby together.”
