Jennifer Hudson offers $100,000 reward for missing nephew
Jennifer Hudson has offered a $100,000 reward for information leading to the safe return of her seven year old nephew Julian.
The boy has been missing since Friday afternoon when his grandmother and uncle, Jennifer’s mum and brother, were shot at their home in Chicago. The estranged husband of Julian’s mother, Jennifer’s sister Julia has been taken into custody in relation to the murders but Julian is still missing.
A statement released by the Dreamgirls star’s spokesperson said regarding the reward offering: “Jennifer and her family appreciate the enormous amount of love, support and prayers they have received while she and her family try to cope with this tragedy and continue the search for Julian.
“We ask that all inquiries be directed to the Chicago Police Department, Area 1 Detective Division.”
Jennifer added on her MySpace page: “Thank you all for your prayers and your calls. Please keep praying for our family and that we get Julian King back home safely. If anyone has any information about his whereabouts please contact the authorities immediately.
“Once again thank you all for being there for us through this tough time.”
Investigators are continuing to sweep the South Side property for evidence and the FBI have confirmed they are assisting with the case.
